The Colfax Cobblestones newsletter contains information on upcoming CAHS and other events, and other CAHS information. Articles are focused on local history, including the people, towns, and historical events of the area. Historic and contemporary photos and brief items of interest to railroad fans of the Overland Route are also included. The newsletter is published four times a year: February, May, August, and November. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Researching articles using the CAHS Archives, the Colfax Record newspaper archives at Gold Country Media, and online resources
- Writing articles
- Obtaining articles from the Board as appropriate
- Formatting the newsletter each quarter
- Maintain a list of article topics
- Maintain the membership list (Excel)
The newsletter is sent to all members. Copies of the newsletter are also made available as PDFs on our website.
